He was born in Bienno in 1952, where he has his sculpture studio, and lives in Berzo Inferiore.

He starts working in a wood workshop in Bienno while attending evening courses in drawing and sculpture.

After a few years he feels the need to express something personal that goes beyond craftsmanship and finds inspiration in the tools that are produced by the Bienno forges.

His female figures are directly attributable to the shapes of the shovel, the spade, the mill wheel (a tribute to the Ferrarezza of Bienno).
