Perry Bianchini - Sculptor

Born in Darfo in 1943, Pietro Bianchini - after his studies- cultivated his own artistic vein as a self-taught. Friend and pupil of Franca Ghitti, Emilio del Prato and Alberto Meli, Perry has participated in international exhibitions.

Among the latest, the group show in New York and participation in the Palermo International Art Biennale curated by Vittorio Sgarbi and Paolo Levi.

A personal exhibition at Palazzo Martinengo in Brescia and at the Tadini Academy in Lovere. Several of his permanent wooden and ceramic works are present in numerous towns in Valle Camonica and also outside, such as at the Vittoriale di Gardone Riviera.

His sculptural research focuses on the female hemisphere, deeply and sensitively investigating the characters, emotions and values of women lived and idealized in their own life path.

The exploration takes place between reflection and passion, shaping and manipulating earth, fire and air according to the age-old ritual of the Japanese raku technique. The Artist's "manner of raku" reinvents and adapts the ancient Japanese technique in Vallecamonica thus giving life to new creative developments.

The works extracted from the furnace are subjected to strong reductions in temperature, to rapid cooling through water, air and mud. Perry demonstrates a relationship of love for the creative action and the natural elements of the Val Camonica land.
