Set within a semicircular niche supported by masonry pilasters is the fountain with a rectangular basin consisting of four small granite corner pillars that hold in place three slabs of hammered slate, on which the holes for the iron brackets that once supported the buckets are still visible. The base is made of concrete, from which two spouts emerge. The fountain at Ponte Dosso is very similar in basin design, while the one on Via Luzzana is much simpler, characterized by a niche that encloses it and classifies it as an RAF-type fountain.
It is worth noting that these fountains were not only used for domestic purposes but also served to water livestock.
